Angi recently launched the Angi App inside ChatGPT. Homeowners can now ask ChatGPT about a home project, get AI-guided advice, and receive localized recommendations for skilled professionals from Angi's 30-year network. Their data shows AI Helper users are 3x more likely to request quotes and 25% more likely to report successful projects. It's a smart move from a company that knows discovery better than almost anyone.
We're not here to knock what Angi built. We think it's genuinely impressive, and it validates something we deeply believe: AI belongs in home services and real estate.
But their launch also highlights the problem we set out to solve — one that Angi isn't trying to solve, because it's not their business model. The problem isn't finding a professional. The problem is that after the match, the homeowner and the professional are on completely different platforms, using completely different tools, with zero shared context. Finding the right person was never the hard part. Keeping everyone on the same page through the entire project — that's the hard part.
That's what Fizbo is building.
